How to become a 4-H Youth Member
Youth membership is open to youth in Kindergarten who have reached their birthday before January 1 of the current 4-H year (October 1 — September 30) through high school.
If you know of an existing club you would like to join, you may contact the club directly and they can supply an enrollment form to join their club.
If you know of a project you would like to participate in (horse, photography, cooking, etc.) you may contact the 4-H staff and they will help you locate a club.
How to become a 4-H Adult Volunteer
Prior to becoming a 4-H adult volunteer, attendance at 4-H Orientation is required. Orientations are held at the WSU/Spokane County Extension office, 222 N Havana, Spokane. See the Calendar of Events page for monthly dates or contact the 4-H staff for additional information.
4-H volunteers may join an existing 4-H Club, start a new 4-H Club, or start a Family 4-H Club.
Adult volunteers are always needed to share their talents/expertise with youth. 4-H volunteers partner with youth, other volunteers, and 4-H staff to provide positive "Learn By Doing" experiences for youth members.
