This is reat website for livestock and horses provided by WSU and the associations related to the different market animals. This site holds up-to-date information on small ruminants (sheep & goats), beef, swine, horses, forages, water quality, reproduction, health, quality assurance, carcass, performance, and links to other resources. WSU Extension Announces Online Resources for Washington Pork Producers and Educators: http://wsu.porkgateway.org

There is readily available information concerning pork production. This Pork Information Gateway (PIG) has been developed for pork operations of all sizes and there is even a section for youth producers raising 4-H and FFA swine projects. This valuable resource is free. People may access the site and register for a free account on the WSU PIG page that can be found at http://wsu.porkgateway.org

Cow-Calf Management Guide

The Western Beef Resource Committee, composed primarily of Extension beef specialists for the western states, produces a Cow-Calf Management Guide & Cattle Producer’s Library, also known as the “big yellow book.” This is a comprehensive collection of hundreds of articles on beef production, written for the cattle producers. Colorado State University will provide the entire contents of this library for free on their website http://www.csubeef.com/. To access the library, one needs only to register (for free) with a username and password. It is a tremendously valuable resource.
