Beginning Horsemanship

Horsemanship, Management, and Care

GBHG Horseless Horse _...

(All members eligible, primaries through seniors)
Objectives:
_ develop leadership, initiative, self-reliance,
sportsmanship, and other desirable traits of character
_ develop an understanding of the responsibilities of
managing a horse
_ develop an appreciation of horseback riding as a
healthy and wholesome form of recreation
_ learn skill in horsemanship and an understanding of
the business of breeding, raising, and training horses
_ increase knowledge of safety precautions to prevent
injury to themselves, others, and their mounts
_ promote greater love for animals and a humane
attitude toward them
